Dr Jim Berrow will give an illustrated talk on the gothic revival and organs. The Church of the Ascension, Malvern Link (known locally as Belmont Cathedral) was built in 1902 in the Early English style, and is the work of the architect Sir Walter Tapper. The organ, by Hunter IIP11 (undated), is one of only a few in the Midlands and will be presented and available for members to play.

In the 100th anniversary year of Arthur Wills' birth Paul Trepte, his successor at Ely Cathedral, will talk about the man he knew and assess AW's contribution to C20th organ and choral music, at St John-in-Bedwardine on the newly refurbished organ
Andrew Moyes will give a talk on the development of the British organ over the past 50 years, based on his planned talk for the the centenary of the Organ Club, followed by an opportunity for members to play the St Martin's organ. The Lower Vestry will be heated, but the church will not be, so if you would like to play the organ afterwards bring warm clothing.
Wine, tea, coffee and mince pies will be provided.
Gary Cole has had a long and distinguished career in the recording business, running Regent Records for many years. With hundreds of organ and choral recordings to his name, Gary will talk about his life as a record producer and the world of choir and organ recordings, illustrated with audio examples from the Regent catalogue.
