• Visit to Durham and Newcastle (Dates changed)

    By kind invitation of BOA  there will be a visit to Harrison & Harrison's workshop on Tue afternoon, then attending Durham Cathedral for evensong followed by an open console lock-in.  The following day the group will travel to Newcastle for playing visits to both Cathedrals in the morning and also St John's, Newcastle after lunch.

  • Members recital and talk to celebrate Flor Peeters’ 40th anniversary

    4 July is both the date of Peeters' birth in 1903 and death in 1986. Michael Jones will provide a talk and members will contribute pieces representative of the gamut of Peeters organ compositions - and also we hope works for organ and voice, and organ and piano. 

  • Talk on SS Wesley by Roger Judd

    This will celebrate the 150th year of SS Wesley's death in 1876 and will be illustrated by organ pieces and choral works sung by Amici Coro. We are delighted to welcome members of Gloucestershire OA to this event, which will be followed by some 'al fresco' refreshment afterwards.

  • Whitlock/Darke anniversary recital

    Harold Darke's 50th anniversary falls in 2026, but we've partnered with Percy Whitlock whose 80th anniversary also falls this year.  And on the very fine 4 manual organ in Great Malvern Priory. One of our members, Michael Bacon, will also be giving a recital as part of GMP's concert series at 12 noon, so do think of joining us then and over lunch.
